An online resource center designed to enhance radiologists’ awareness of the latest technological advancements in the area of contrast agents for use with MRA.

Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) has replaced catheter x-ray angiography for most evaluations, and despite the recent regulatory approval of gadofosveset for use with MRA of the AOD, radiologists continue to use unapproved extracellular contrast agents. Radiologists will become more familiar with specific equipment set-ups to optimize imaging requirements, and will be better able to implement this important technology in their practice.

This educational webcourse will provide radiologists with a keen understanding of the clinical applications for MRA evaluation of a variety of atherosclerotic diseases.

This new series of Grand Rounds is designed for radiologists, radiology technicians and technologists, and will discuss new imaging technologies, including the use of blood-pool contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) for the diagnostic evaluation of atherosclerotic diseases.

This educational program will clarify issues surrounding appropriate use of contrast agents with MRA, and provide radiologists with a keen understanding of the clinical applications for MRA evaluation of a variety of atherosclerotic diseases and tumor types.
